well, as mine graphics card is (not well) supported in the opensource,
it keeps the opensource driver with AIGLX... but i don't think it should
do the fglrx + xgl + compiz-fusion. you i'll need to install the fglrx
driver (in your case, you have to install it by following the steps in
that link that you pointed befor) and the xserver-xgl. at least, the
configuration with xgl is automagic... you just have to install the
package and everything you be seted up for you.
after installing you get this notification:
"Xgl server setup changed
The Xgl server will now be started automatically next time you login.
It is no longer necessary to use any special X session to start Xgl, and
such sessions will likely fail to work properly. Please select a
regular session from your session manager next time you log in. To
disable Xgl autostart for this user, create a file named
~/.config/xserver-xgl/disable"
