Cannot mount anything after Gutsy upgrade

Hi,

After upgrading from Feisty to Gutsy, I can no longer mount any volumes.
Not even my /boot (ext3) partition gets mounted, and insted of that, I
get a /boot partition made "on the fly" with just the initrd image.

My LVM2 volumes (root, and others) mount fine, so the system works, but
all the partitions outside the LVM volume cannot be mounted. All fail
with the same error:
/dev/foo already mounted or /mnt/bar is busy

I tried this with vfat, ext3 and reiserfs filesystems.

If I boot with the Feisty kernel, mount works again.

Some forums posts suggested removing evms, which I did, but it didn't
make the trick for me.

Any suggestions?

It seems I'm not alone:
