Or even LABEL=.  Surely it would have been easier for everybody to use
LABEL - and implement labels for any FS that didn't support them,  I
understand that UUID was intended to bypass problems when device names
change (which they do!), but I don't think the developers foresaw all the
other problems that would arise.
