.gnupg upgrade to ubuntu 7.10?

I plan to do a fresh install of ubuntu 7.10 from a CD. In addition to
backing up my files in $HOME, is there something special I should do
to the files in $HOME/.gnupg? I have files encrypted by my private
key. I am afraid I might lose them when a fresh install wipes out my
private key.  Thanks in advance,

Yuelin.
