Sorry , I cannot comment on this one here. This was erratically taken
from suse. I would try with Kubuntu and if this does not work, or if you
happen to work on a different ubuntu incarnation, just create the
shortcut manually. Something like

wine "/home/eroloff/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Internet
Explorer/iexplore.exe"

should be in the command line, to give you an idea.
