In the line above where it says root: lchata, roots email has
been assigned to you (or who ever lchata is) so when you type in mail
from a cli or open mutt you are seeing not only your(lchata's) mail but
roots mail as well.

You are welcome, mutt may have been included for installation in those
distributions of Debian but I believe that you are now given more
options to which mail handler you would like to use. I hope this helped.
