I build a small low power desktop system for my wife last year and installed
Ubuntu. This box is a mini-itx system with the VIA cn400 chipset. When ever
I update the system a newer kernel will panic. What can I do to get updated
kernels that will run on this system? Do I need to compile the kernel for
the specific system? It currently runs a 2.6.15-26-386 kernel and my
workstation is running a 2.6.20-16-generic. I'd like to get her machines
kernel updated.
