How do I unlock a file ? / SOLVED !

Yes, Mario !
I know rmdir = remove (empty) directory ! ;-)

I only overlooked a little dot at the begin of a single file name ending
with lock and 
struggled somewhat !

Later, retrying to rm the file I got it removed and was able to rmdir
the directories myself !! ;-))

I was only wondering why Simon and Smoot recommended / suggested me 
to remove THE directory MythTV with "rm" ?!? ;-|

My assumption is / was: rm = remove files !?
Any correcture or enlightening is appreciated and welcome !
