The Hardy Heron Beta has the 2.6.24-12.13 kernel based on 2.6.24.3. There
is a possibility that the final stable release may have a 2.6.24.4 based
kernel.
So, it makes sense to update to Hardy Heron (final release) before applying
the patch.
Even if you are in a hurry and want to upgrade to HH Beta, it would make
sense to upgrade the distro first and then , if required , the kernel.
Thanks,
