How does one clean a messy fstab ?

I will have to check and learn with pmount !

Currently I am more in the process or learning to deal properly with my
filesystem how it needs to be checked and maintained in case of
something happens !!

Preparing for my future and better LTS installation with 8.04,
hopefully, without loosing any data !!! ;-)
