how to install ubuntu to a box without display monitor?

Thanks to mounting using UUID that's not a problem anymore.

I've just put my hard disk in another laptop (from P III to P IV) ,
booted, changed the NIC's MAC settings and configured X for the new
graphic card. Everything else just worked.
