:oD

i started dual booting with linux about 18months ago. I tryed several
different distros
including ubuntu (prefered kubuntu at the time) and generally wasnt too
pleased about stuff like
the root pw, nonfree codecs hunting, ntfs r/w..and others, you know, like
most XP users are!
but i learned quite a bit about the whole process in the meantime.

all that kind of fizzled out after a while and i went back to a single
boot XP for
one reason or another.

a couple of weeks ago i decided to try linux again, and to my delight the
newer releases
have even more ability out of the box and are very simple to configure, i
ended up prefering
ubuntu (like the majority of linuxers it seems). i think the final straw
was when i managed
to get the 3D desktop working, i thought "this is awesome!!!" it even has
more "WOW" than
XP.now..not that i really need 3D but it just demonstrated how developed
linux desktop is
today.

a couple of days ago i just replaced the XP on my main drive with ubuntu
and
im pretty chuffed that i am finally able to do so, thanks ubuntu (and
everyone else)
 just wanted to share this..
