Sony SZ videocard change problem

Dear sirs!

 

I've installed Ubuntu 8.04 on my Sony Vaio SZ5 (this is a model with 2

videocards on - intel and nvidia, which you can change according to your

needs) and everything worked just perfect, but I've changed from SPEED

mode (active nvidia card) to STAMINA (active intel card) and after

reboot Ubuntu won't load proper screen resolution (maximum 800x600).

I've tried to change screen resolution on the settings, but the result

is the same - there are no high resolution anymore.

 

Is there any solution, since on both of the videocards there are no

resolution higher than 800x600?
