USB Router Support?

Then I misunderstood your situation.

I'm not sure if it is "unpalatable"....  Just a mistaken understanding of 
what you are doing.

Sure you mean to sound brash.  If you didn't you wouldn't say "I don't mean 
to".

But, never mind....

Clearly you are using ethernet connection and not USB connections...Or at 
least that is my belief based on your statement "The computer I'm using 
right now is connected via Cat5e".

So, OK...  Have fun...

But, if you are using USB at some point and it does work in one situation 
and not the other then you may want to compare the output of "lsmod" in the 
working and not working situation.

Clearly you value the opinion and appreciate the help of others that has 
gotten you to this point.
