vmware, and trapped cursor

Not sure...I have VMWare server on my workstation with 2 XP images and 
one Ubuntu.

With Ubuntu, I never installed the tools module and so my pointer gets 
trapped and I use the keystrokes to get out of it.

The Windows XP ones I click once to get focus, but then I can move my 
pointer in and out of the window without trouble, no keystrokes to 
release it.
