Keep an XP image around in VMWare just in case you need it. I have many
times tried to swear off Windows completely but in my line of work
there's no way around it. Depends on your personal situation of course,
but for many people there will always be that one program for which
there is no acceptable Linux equivalent.

Of course the other thing to do is check apps compatibility in Wine.
That's come a long way since I started using it. However, playing Halo
with a laggy mouse is no fun when everyone else can totally pwn you.
And of course, accessing my MD player as a disk drive.... I know there
was NotMD, but that's really old, and not updated.
