Really,
I thought "We the People" decide upon, what is better for us,
and what is needed, there is some truth in what you said...

However, you and I and many others have voices, to speak against
such things, and to make a stand... IMHO, Ex-Windows users,
just had enough of the Microsoft System of things, and change
to something that is, "for the most part" Free aka: Linux,
they wanted to add what they wanted, and when...without wires attached.

The Corporate Mongols as you stated, care for one thing,
Clear PROFIT, and how to get more, of it...
and as for, the lost of Liberties/Freedom, in the work place,
to them it would be just corlateral damage, in exchange for more Profit,
and more profit comes by, more production, which is due to the new MS
Monitoring Software/Hardware.

The Choices, that are presented are: MS with(Big Brother)
or Another OS with NO(Big Brother)
