Seems this is a Firefox/Adobe bug and will not be fixed in FF 2.x, you
need to wait for FF 3.0.  That will let Adobe implement something called
"windowless plug-in support".

No, I did not read the entirety of either bug report.  Sounds like I
have the same setup as you - FF 2.0.0.11, Ubu 7.10, Flash 9.0 r115.  If
you don't have r115 of Flash and want it, enable the "gutsy-proposed"
repo (Pre-release updates).  Iirc that is where I installed it from.
