User menu

Hi folks,

On one of my kids' machines, when she logs in with her account, the
menus are gone.  The default system is gnome on 7.10.  Only 'Computer'
remains.  For the other user accounts, the menus are fine.  We are not
sure what might have happened and I can't seem to figure out how to
restore the menus, short of killing the account and re-creating it.
What might have happened and how do I fix it?  Granted, there may not be
enough information here, so let me know if you need more.
