new laptop has a wireless nic ive never experienced before, cant seem to
get it to work properly, well, not at all.

01:0a.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8185
IEEE 802.11a/b/g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 20)

downloaded the xp driver from realtek, and used the net8185.inf file
with ndiswrapper, but shows no wireless extensions, rebooted several
times needed or not had no idea, first time using ndiswrapper, still no
dice.

2nd try used the realtek linux driver from their site, cant even get
that to compile, maybe one of you can make heads or tails of this......
everything to compile is already installed, build-essentials, gcc,
headers, etc
