Can't Switch Betweem TTY And X

There are no vga= options in menu.lst.  Had an old
saved one with it set but not in the one that gives me
the issue.  I'll try the recovery mode option 4 to see
what happens though. And backup xorg.conf.

Sorry but no remember.  I just checked most of the
entries and probably set some to values seemingly more
appropriate.  Have already reconfigured debconf a few
times hoping it would jog my memory and for some
reason I don't see the full menu items I did the first
time and guess what.  There was no keyboard item
listed.  I'll give it a retry and maybe see the full
list again.
