If you have edge-flipping enabled, when the mouse pointer reaches the
end of the screen, you'll be taken to another workspace. Fvwm and
Enlightenment have this ability.
Also, if you have programs on multiple workspaces, you'll see that
sometimes a program attempts to make itself visible. If you're already
on the right workspace, the program's window will come to the top; if
you're on another workspace, you'll be switched to the program's
workspace first.
