That is an answer that could only be guessed, since *at most* they could 
tell you how many were downloaded (inaccurate since I'm sure there are 
others like me that have downloaded it more than once for reinstalls or 
because I've deleted the ISO and needed it again) or how many individual 
IPs are hitting the repos for download (which wouldn't be accurate since 
IPs can change). Since it's GPL it could be shared, discarded, 
duplicated, virtualized...Canonical could only speculate.
Plus it can be altered (edubuntu, xubuntu, kubuntu...) so they'd be 
based on the same codebase but tweaked.
