Actually this is exactly one of the reasons I like and use OO!   When writting 
a sermon somtimes I'll move the original copy to a different location ( 
actually to my book of sermons topics ) and work over the file with the same 
name to suit the existing topics and time.  Then too, isn't this also the 
reason for way "save" and "save as" work?  I use that all the time to keep 
track of the file I am working on at the moment.  If I use a "save as" to a 
location, that is the file which will save at that new location.  It updates 
itself.  I would not care to have an outside program lock me out of my own 
file.  Of couse I am also very frugal with the rights to my files.  I don't 
allow anyone else to edit my files, although they can read, they can not 
write to my directory.
