Thanks for you interest.
Right now i'm not on my laptop, do i can past those when I have it.

I've use every kernel from Hardy (2.6.24.16-2.6.24.21) up to the most
recent in Intrepid (2.6.26.3)

The only that is capable of turning off the kill switch is 2.6.24.18,
after i manage to do some echo into a certain file.
But even that doesnt enable ifconfig, just iwconfig.

I'll reinstall with Intrepid Alpha2 when it comes out (as usual it is delayed).
