Not really that helpful to you I'm afraid, but I'm running an Asus 
pro31j that has the same wireless card, and it is working about as well 
as Vista did (quite well) - which I must say is excellent!

My AP is a Linksys WAG54G V2 (type of AP may be relevant...).
