Still with the reading comprehension problem? Reread my last post.

And again...read what you said. Ubuntu isn't a GUI. Ubuntu manages
floppies fine. There is a difference in the two questions you asked for.

And you still haven't answered for your own factually WRONG assertions,
and you still seem totally oblivious to the fact that your statement are
inflammatory flamebait.

Your posts are perfect examples of the boneheaded approach to asking
questions and asking for help in this list, and when someone calls you
out on it it prompt netnannies and listmommies to start a thread
bitching about how we're not "friendly" to noobs and scare away users,
as if somehow being new to the topic gives license to be a jerk.

You still don't even acknowledge that your personal attacks are
completely illogical, either...calling me a mossback, implying I'm
archaic in my experience, while asserting that I don't know anything
about the topic (even though my command line solution I offered to you
apparently was way over your head), and this "mossback" isn't even the
one using floppies; you claim experience with Win3.x, far superior in
handling your floppy than today's modern Linux, apparently.

So...You have fond memories of MacOS and Win3.x, both discontinued, and
can't use the command line.

My system doesn't even use floppies and some very simple commands at the
command line are over your head.

But I'm the creaky oldster picking on the young noob.

Uh huh.

You won't even acknowledge that you understand what I previously said
about the floppy sensor and how it interacts with the system, or that
the problem you're running into is with the automatic file
mounting-slash-nautilus. No, no...you're just going to continue reveling
in Ubuntu is crap compared to Win3x, and then bitch me out instead of
acknowledging that you're peeing in an Ubuntu group denouncing Ubuntu.
Smart move, straight from page one of how to win friends and influence
people.

I'm sure you've done plenty to help people here. I look forward to you
sharing your immense wisdom with the group.
