apt-get upgrade for sudo fails with segmentation fault

Does not seem like it. I have a load of pending updates, but apt-get 
always decides it must upgrade sudo first, and chokes on that.

If I try to install one by hand, it seems OK

chris /var/cache/apt/archives > sudo dpkg -i 
seahorse_2.22.2-0ubuntu1_i386.deb
