LTS to LTS Upgrade???

Ubuntu User:

Although I know Upgrading "Incrementally" from 6.06 LTS to 6.10 to 7.04 
7.10 and Beyond is easy enough through the "Update-Manager", when the next 
LTS Release appears will it also be possible to Upgrade directly from one 
LTS to the next LTS (without following all those intermediate steps)???
