cdrom/dvd drive & hdparm

I'm having problems with my dvd drive. I'll skip the details as I'm not
seeking help on what may be a hardware problem. Just if anyone has a minute
to review the following and let me know if there's anything wrong with these
settings:
sudo hdparm /dev/hda
dev/hda:
IO_support = 1 (32-bit)
unmaskirq = 1 (on)
using_dma = 1 (on)
keepsettings = 0 (off)
readonly = 0 (off)
readahead = 256 (on)
