I think this will help:

Be sure to paste *all* of the commands into the terminal in the section
under:
Remove Kubuntu
Paste this command into the terminal:
Then again, if you have drive space it doesn't hurt to leave KDE in
place. If you add a KDE (Kubuntu) application, the install will
reinstall many of the packages that you will remove. Also, if you really
want to remove them all it might just be better to reinstall (backup
your important data first) - that way to start fresh & don't have to
worry about an lingering dependency packages.
