I highly recommend both F-Spot and Digikam. I'm not using Digikam as I
prefer KDE applications, but F-Spot is a very capable image manager
with an active mailing list that is very helpful. Same can be said
about Digikam. Both products are at a mature enough stage to be good
for everyday use, yet fresh enough to have wish-bugs implemented and
eager developers.
