problems with grub

Hello,

sorry for my english - I'm from germany...
I have some problems with the grub bootloader.

My system:
Sata1 (sda) = WinXP
Sata2 (sdb) = Ubuntu

After installing ubuntu on sdb (sata 2) and rebboting the pc (bios boot order: sda), I get the following message
State 1.5.
Grub loading...  Please wait...
Error 17

By using the Super-Grup-CD anything is alright. That means, I could start both Systems (WinXP and UBUNTU) 

Reinstalling grub (with recheck) didn't solve the problem.

Windows-Console and Fixmbr => Grub is deinstalled and Windows is booting...

What's the problem???
