File install from desktop

Hello All:

I downloaded and unzipped two files to the desktop. Using Ubuntu 7.10,
what commands can I use to install the files?  The files were unzipped
using terminal and TAR ZXVF command. The filefolders are rx320-0.6.2 and
geoid_bin on the desktop. I think I need to install them to
my /home/n8tl directory.
