WUBI Vs EXT Partition Installation

I have recently tried installing Ubuntu Hardy Heron on the Windows (Vista
Home Premium) partition with the WUBI loaded (How sweet an install is
that?????) and also the same version on it's own (EXT) Partition.

>From what I see it looks quite a bit faster on it's own partition. Does this
sound right? Has anyone else had the same experience?
