[hardy] [gnome-volume-control] gnome-volume-control crashed with SIGSEGV in strcmp()

Hello,

Since I upgraded to 8.04 I can't use the gnome mixer 
gnome-volume-control because it crash core dump at startup.

I uploaded a patch src and binary for IA32.

Could the maintainer have a look and validate this patch?
