help with loading ubuntu

Not too sure what you want but if you wish to overwrite Vista then, yes,
that can be done with the CD you are downloading. If you wish to access
Vista then installing Ubuntu, or any other distro, will almost certainly
not help if you have forgotten the Vista password (or did not have it to
start with).

If you want to keep Vista and also have Ubuntu then the first thing you
need to do is repair Vista so that you have a working system. Then you
can safely install Ubuntu alongside Vista.
