Hardy: Java Problems (I think)

My girlfriend is running Hardy and she's having real problems with applications which I believe, for the most part, use Java.

Skype takes up 100%of her CPU, a web photo application didn;t show her the interface she was expecting and now she can;t see the GUI install of jungledisk install monitor.

I'm also running Hardy and have had no problems trying to do what she is trying.

We've reinstalled all the sun-java6 stuff and even a few missing packages such as  libswt3.2-gtk-java, libswt3.2-gtk-jni

Sadly, all this is taking place over IM as she's in another country.

So, anyone, what might I have missed in her install to cause such problems.

She's using a Dell Precision M60 with a Gig of RAM.
