Amarok is released independently & works in Gnome. Rythmbox is installed
by default in Ubuntu.

No. But you can try:

Pcmanfm (Tabbed - but you can easily open added windows & drag & drop):

[Will appear in Applications|System Tools|PC Man File Manger]

Gnome-Commander (Split panel):

Will appear in Applications|Accessories|Gnome Commander

There are others, but those are the only two that I've used.
