Can not access my slave drive...Need help!

It almost seems as if there's no partition data on it. Does /dev/sdb1 exist
on the fs? If not, try something like gpart (not gparted) to recover the
partition table. It may also be indicative of a failing HDD. Test it with
the utility of your choice.
