Moving from Fedora to Ubuntu - am I doing the right thing?

Oh, OK.  :-)

I, of course, realise that I'm asking a biased audience, it could
hardly be otherwise.  I was really asking, as I said, for evidence to
confirm (or otherwise) my ideas about Ubuntu.
