free replacement for java to run .jnlp

Hola!

Is there a free replacement (for java) to run *.jnlp files?
can kaffe or cacao do this? If so, or what other, can they be
installed/configured for that?
I dont find any information on this googling.
I'm on ubuntu 8.04
