I changed my document root to /home/www/docs.v2 ;  I have two 
folders in /home/www/ (news and events).  Those directories are outside the 
document root.

In httpd.conf, I have Alias setup as 
Alias /news /home/www/news
<Directory /home/www/news/>
   Order allow,deny
   Allow from all
</Directory>

When I access http://local host/~news I get page cannot be found error. In the error log, it is appending news to the document root instead of  /home/www. Can anyone tell what I could be missing?
