If you've enabled the Debian menu it is under:
Debian>Applications>System>Monitoring

Alternatively you can add it to the menu by choosing:
System>Preferences>Main Menu
Click on the menu group wherein you wish to have the icon appear and
choosing the button, "New Item." Tell it the name of the app (gkrellm)
and the command to open it (gkrellm). Add a comment if you wish. Close
this dialog box and it should appear wherever in the menu you chose.

Or run it from the Alt+F2 'run application' option.

That I don't know but you can add it to the panel just by
dragging its icon onto the panel.

You're welcome, it's one of my favorite packages. I particularly like
having a couple of current radar .jpgs on my GKrellKam plugin.
