easiest way I know is to boot with the external monitor connected.
Youll only get the external monitor, but after boot go to system>
preferences> screen resolution and there should be 2 screens shown.
upper left corner check clone screens or mirror screens not exactly sure
what itll say in 7.2 thats really old.
