Linux printing on a windows network, where to start

Hi All,

I  am at the test page and whenever i try to print the print jobs keep
queing. The printer is an hp 1300 series and it was recognized. The note
book is aspire 4315 and OS is ubuntu 7:10.

Is there something, i have missed out?
