I gave a Opera a go. Definitely better, but something was still off
kilter. I then tried xubuntu (xfce), and the difference for me, is
phenomenal. I've got the higher resolution to boot. I feel like I have
invested in a brand new, upgraded system. Good bye Gnome, you bloated
pig!
