I certainly agree with that.  I thought the discussion was upgrading
within one distro, Ubuntu.  There I don't think you'll find the same
sorts of problems.

I have a similar setup but on a different hard drive altogether
(actually, two drives. backup, you know) but still somehow end up with
lots of stuff in my home partition besides . files.  I guess I'm just
sloppy housekeeper.
