How to safely dual boot ubuntu 8.10 intrepid with Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11

Dual  booting of same type of operating systems (Linux/linux or
windows/windows) are always safe, if you have  taken care of some important
things  like partition and  boot loader.

1.avoid automatic partitioning, do it manually.
2. make sure to install Grub as a boot loader with appropriate entries for
