For all of you new to email headers, this is the difference between a new topic and a reply-to.

New topic:

From: Oliver Marshall <oliver.marshall at g2support.com>
To: "'Ubuntu user technical support,	not for general discussions'" <ubuntu-users at lists.ubuntu.com>
Date: Wed, 15 Apr 2009 20:27:39 +0100
Subject: logrotate permission question
Thread-Topic: logrotate permission question
Thread-Index: Acm+ADvP7DTvoZUsTJeRaTu1PDvIGQ==
Message-ID: <94BE14063577E942AA3C08528708E0C50E4DDF4EE5 at BLACK.g2support.local>

Thread-jack:

From: Juan De Mola <juan.demola at gmail.com>
Organization: Molax
User-Agent: Thunderbird 2.0.0.19 (Windows/20081209)
MIME-Version: 1.0
To: "Ubuntu user technical support, not for general discussions" <ubuntu-users at lists.ubuntu.com>
Subject: From dual boot to virtualization
References: <94BE14063577E942AA3C08528708E0C50E4DDF4EE5 at BLACK.g2support.local>
In-Reply-To: <94BE14063577E942AA3C08528708E0C50E4DDF4EE5 at BLACK.g2support.local>

So all compliant mail readers (all the good ones) will thread messages according to message-ID and In-Reply-To *NOT* Subject.

And that is why thread-jacking is bad.
